My 1986 Boston Marathon
press pass. I was 18 years old standing in my own press box at the finish line of the Boston Marathon with Nikon F3's around my neck. Feeling oh... so... cool!

The "Fallen Leaf"
The photograph that inspired the name.
I took the photo in 1990 along the banks of a mountain stream.
There is a good story behind this photo.
Be sure to ask me about it.

Leavenworth WA based photographer Dominic Urbano.

Education -
B.S. Mass Communications and Management (Video Production) Central Washington University 1989. Post graduate... Secondary Education with teaching endorsements in Social Studies, History, and Journalism.

Photography -
Public relations photographer for Central Washington University 1985-1989 while working towards degree.
Dominic's Gold Medal Photography - Started in 1990... it has morphed into Gold Medal Productions over the years. Originally a portraits and wedding photography business in central Washington, the business traveled with me as I made my way back to western Washington. I found myself taking on graphic arts jobs and then even added a custom laser engraving component to the business. Gold Medal Productions carries on... for the laser engraving.
Fallen Leaf Imaging - 2011. Getting back to a photography only business. The name was inspired by the fallen leaf image to the right.

Other -
Had a career as a high school teacher for 13 years. Taught social studies, journalism, and photography at Naselle and Mt. Baker High Schools.

Coach - High school cross country and track coach. Won a bunch of state championships. Honored as Washington State Cross Country Coach of the year in 2001. It was a fun and challenging time.

EMT and Firefighter - Rural east Whatcom county was quite a place to respond to medical and fire emergencies.

Industrial safety and refinery operations - Yup... I have even put in some time with big oil. I gave that up so that I could put a camera back in my hands full time again.

Couldn't be happier to be doing what I do. I look forward to meeting and talking with you about your photography needs.
